The Islamic Society of Akron & Kent owns a section of the Grandview Memorial Park (Islamic Gardens). The address of the cemetry is 5400 Lakewood Rd. Ravenna, OH 44266-9565.

In case of death:

Choose ONLY ONE family member or friend to coordinate with the Social Welfare Committee. Do not call any funeral home. The Social Welfare Committee is run by dedicated volunteers to help you with Islamic rituals of preparing the deceased and with the burial at the Muslim cemetery.

Funeral prayers will be held at the Islamic Center of Akron & Kent after daily prayers. We try to schedule the prayers after Dhuhr or Jumuah prayers and leave for cemetery immediately after the prayers.
